Resumen

Dos creencias erróneas han aparecido repetidamente en la literatura sobre teoría organizacional y Miller (1978):

relativas a la aplicación del paradigma de sistemas a las organizaciones. Este artículo identifica y correlaciona estas creencias. Se han pasado por alto tres oportunidades para utilizar el paradigma de sistemas para impulsar el desarrollo de la teoría organizacional. El artículo identifica estas oportunidades y sugiere cómo aprovecharlas. Finalmente, los autores señalan que los avances recientes en la teoría organizacional podrían enriquecer el paradigma, haciéndolo más útil para la investigación organizacional.
