Main Article Content
Abstract
An individual who is described as exhibiting type “A” behaviour, is characterized by a core of three main components: a sense of time urgency, a strong desire to succeed and a high level of hostility. The personality of these people also includes that they seek to achieve the biggest amount of things in the shortest period of time. They are highly competitive and eager to win every time. These characteristics may place these individuals as the ideal executives for a contemporary firm in a competitive world. Regretfully, these very same characteristics have also been strongly related in coronary heart disease, a major health problem which arises as one of the leading causes of death in modern societies. Through the latest findings at the field, we are reviewing, some of the main issues on this matter for the last ten years in a mexican environment.
