Abstract
It is an inescapable truth that an administrator requires reliable and timely information to carry out their activities and, above all, to make sound decisions.
It is also an indisputable fact that, today, information technology supports both productive and administrative activities.
However, when we delve into the information systems that support operational functions to understand both the timeliness and reliability of information, we find that, in terms of reliability, a large percentage of systems actually have data that is not up to date, and, in general, processes are behind schedule or, at best, the information is up-to-date but partial, that is, it does not include everything that should be included.
