Abstract

Over the past decade, twelve studies have been published in which modern econometric methods have been used to analyze advertising, promotion, and their relationship to sales.
Econometric methods are understood here as statistical methods developed to analyze time series data of economic variables. Statistical methods developed outside the econometric tradition, such as modern time series analysis, are also included.
