Abstract

About the difficulty of defining terrorism. From ancient Greece and Rome, to the French Revolution to Amritsar massacre, to Stalin's reign of terror. There are different types of techniques and motivations for terrorism. There are activities in the Middle East, Latin America and post-colonial Asia and Africa
(Tamil Tigers, Mai Lai massacre, etc.) There is the problem in the developed world (IRA, Earth First, Red Brigade, etc., up to the Oklahoma city bombing) and discusses worldwide reactions to terrorism. There are summaries or selected keys fact boxes off for quick access. There are directories or terrorist groups.
