Abstract
Since 1971, the Latin American Banking Federation (Felabán), through its technical committee, the Latin American Center for Banking Automation (CLAB), has been interested in studying the possibilities of linking banks in the region through a telecommunications network, in order to improve and streamline the exchange of international transactions between these banks.
