Abstract

The invention of the wheel, the lever, and the mechanisms of primitive clocks were the basis for the manufacture of the first machines for processing information in its most basic form; we consider this to be the origin of computing, given that it is the name given to "automatically processing information with machines specifically designed for that purpose."
