HEURISTIC PROGRAMMING AND ITS APPLICATIONS
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this era, problem-solving has tended to incorporate various quantitative techniques. However, these quantitative methods are useful in situations where the problems conform to a well-defined structure. The dilemma, then, is to find better techniques for solving ill-structured problems, such as most administrative problems—problems that can be solved by human intelligence through analysis that can then be "heuristically" programmed into a computer (6-499).
