Abstract

Regarding this important issue, we must make the following considerations:
Within the context of the 1995-2000 National Development Plan, it is stated: "The experience of Mexico and other countries clearly shows that sustained economic growth is only possible when efforts are made to achieve and preserve fundamental macroeconomic imbalances." We can consider that what the NDP stated in this regard is correct: an economy without fundamental balances is not viable in the long term.
