MANAGEMENT CONTROL IN AN IT AREA

Abstract
The purpose of this article is to propose how to establish management control in an IT department. It addresses aspects such as the definition of management control, explains management control as a source of knowledge, mentions the common characteristics of IT departments, describes how management criteria are established, and briefly illustrates the application of the proposed management control with an example.
