Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to analyze the challenges facing graduate programs in the face of economic globalization, as well as their academic, financial, and organizational implications.
The paper consists of four sections: the first, entitled "Background to Graduate Studies," describes the dynamics and factors that have influenced the quantitative expansion and contraction in enrollment that has occurred since 1991.
