Abstract

One characteristic observed in power typologies is the differentiability of the strategies followed by their users. From the administrator's perspective, knowledge of such strategies allows one to visualize possibilities for administrative management that encourage or limit the exercise of some of them, depending on the achievement of organizational objectives. The data considered were obtained in the production area of a food and beverage packaging factory through direct observation and unstructured interviews, with the aim of recording actions and obtaining suggestive information on behavior. This article presents two classes of strategies that generally develop two types of power. One refers to the power of experts and the other corresponds to the power of the inexperienced. The results show that the first type appears to be more focused on organizational objectives, while those of the inept appear more focused on personal objectives or interests.
